Each month, we publish a carefully curated selection of personal ads in our printed edition, with a hand-picked selection also featured online. Spaces are limited, and once an issue is full, new submissions are moved to the following month.

Replies are forwarded by post, arriving as anonymous handwritten letters, sealed and delivered with anticipation, intrigue, and a little mischief.

Placing an advertisement makes you a lifetime member of The Lonely Hearts Club.

Your ad is published in one printed issue, included in the corresponding digital edition, and may also be shared across our social media channels and website to help it reach a wider audience.

Your advertisement remains anonymous and contains no personally identifying information.

It may also be included in future anthologies, special editions, and other publications produced by The Lonely Hearts Club, forming part of our ongoing archive of anonymous personal ads.

Your membership remains active for as long as you wish and can be ended at any time by contacting us.

Your Replies

All replies are received at our London office, handled with care, and forwarded to you by post.

Each advertisement includes up to four forwarded replies, sent as they arrive.

If additional letters are received after your four forwards have been used, we will check whether you would like them forwarded. A small £5 administration fee plus postage will apply.

You set the pace.

You decide if, when, and how you wish to respond to any letters you receive. There is no obligation to reply, and you are free to engage as much or as little as you like.

We simply ensure your letters are carefully received, handled, and delivered by post, keeping your correspondence private, intentional, and unhurried.

Your payment includes lifetime membership, one month in print, and up to four forwarded replies.

Your membership does not expire. If a reply arrives after your four forwards have been used, we will notify you so you can choose whether you’d like it forwarded for a small additional administration fee plus postage.
