Where to find us

The Lonely Hearts Club is an independent print personal ads newspaper, stocked in a small number of characterful venues across the UK. You won’t find us everywhere, just tucked into independent cafés, neighbourhood cinemas, local bookshops, record shops, and the sort of pubs where people still talk to strangers.

Each venue receives just a couple of copies, thoughtfully placed rather than piled high. Sometimes they’re out on display; sometimes they’re kept behind the bar or counter, so if you can’t spot one straight away, just ask a member of staff.

These copies are meant to stay where they are, to be discovered, read, and passed on in place. You’ll notice Catinka, our resident cat, keeping a close eye on things from our stickers, reminding you to leave the paper at the venue for the next curious reader.

Prefer your serendipity delivered? We’ll post the paper straight to your door, as a one-off, a monthly subscription, or a thoughtful gift for someone who swears they’ve given up on dating (but probably hasn’t). Pop into our Papershop for more.
